What’s up everyone? I already broke my goal of doing one newsletter a month in 2026…Oh well! What matters is that we’re here now talking about hardcore. This newsletter will be a lot of this and that. Really just stuff that is on my mind currently.
What I’ve been listening to:
Prema - Pebble (blue jesus music, perfect 90’s bullshit)
This World Rejected - S/T (Biohazard vocals, A LOT of chugging, members of Zero Tolerance, shout out Scott Vogel)
Sumerlands - Both records (both records are amazing and each singer brings a unique vibe. I was in Japan last month on the bullet train listening to Sumerlands prentending I was on another planet)
Start Today - Nothing To You (The record is really good. Just came out on Rebirth!)
Macroblank Youtube - because it can’t be hardcore 24/7. If you like to go on a walk or read/study in a coffee shop for hours like myself you need this in your life

REBIRTH RECORDS SHOWCASE VOL 2.
I think it is very easy when you’re directly in the moment to not realize how big of a deal a show is and how lucky you are to be living in a time when it’s taking place. I think the Rebirth Showcase is a perfect example of this. In 15 years I think younger kids will be in shock that I got to see a show like this, similar to how people my age feel when we meet someone who was at any Posi Numbers fest. I will of course flex on them to let them know that I was at the legendary Rebirth showcase surrounded by friends… I’m not being hyperbolic at all when I say there is not a single band on the flyer that I do not want to see. It’s gonna be a long weekend, but a glorious weekend to say the least. I never thought I would get the chance to see Outspoken, and I’m not going to pretend I think it’s going to be a LEGENDARY set, but it will mean a lot to me and many other people in the room. Aside from them I think I most excited for FROTHING MAD, COLLATERAL, and C4. We should have a table so come by and say what’s up. Also, shout out to Ruby, she absolutely killed the fyler.
LINE OF DEFENSE: A STRAIGHT EDGE HARDCORE COMPILATION
After endless setbacks this compilation is finally out. You can listen to it and download it for free here. I’m really happy with how it turned out and I think this is genuinely the best song almost every band has put out so far which is awesome. This release was available as a tape that included a 16 page, full color booklet and consists of 1 page made by each band. They are sold out currently, BUT I am working getting the second run going right now. The best track is #1 EDGEWALKER. The Steamroll 7 inch can not come out soon enough.
